About the High Water Drifters

What happens when four Ohio acoustic musicians assemble a band to perform original and traditional roots music? Well, people dance, clap, and sing, a lot. This is the basis for High Water Drifters. High Water Drifters jam original and traditional tunes with all manner of banjos, washboards, mandolins, fiddle, guitars, upright bass, and a stomp box.
Multi-instrumentalist, Mark Fitzharris leads the group with his earthy vocals and haunting lyrics. Throughout the performances, Mark switches between banjo, mandolin, and guitar to punctuate his originals and new interpretations of traditional music. Mark is joined by Scott Maruskin on the upright bass and vocals. Scott has a long history of playing with regional and national bands. Steve Frye, percussionist extraordinaire, keeping toes tapping and hands clapping with his unique washboard and stomp stylings. Rounding out the ensemble is Skott Brown on fiddle and mandolin.
